The city of Canton has installed new pedestrian crosswalk flashing signs on Prominence Point Parkway and Keeter Road, at the Village Drive and Holly Mill Village Drive intersection.
The city reported that the new signs are in response to hearing community concerns about pedestrian safety in the crosswalk and observing line-of-sight challenges.
Canton Public Works applied for and was granted a Safety Action Plan Grant from the Georgia Department of Transportation. In addition to the new flashing signs, the grant will fund a variety of other public safety initiatives in the city…
