GWINNETT COUNTY, GA (Jan. 6, 2026) – Gwinett County Police report that a pedestrian died on Highway 78 in the Loganville area of the county after being hit by a vehicle.
Gwinnett County Police public information officer Cpl. Ryan Winderweedle said the preliminary investigation determined that the pedestrian was in the roadway within the lane of travel when the collision happened.
:Vehicle #2 was traveling eastbound on Athens Highway in the right-hand lane when it collided with Pedestrian #1, who was in the roadway within that lane of travel,” Winderweedle said. “Pedestrian #1 sustained fatal injuries as a result of the collision.”…
