Northwest Georgia residents rally against bill shielding companies from PFAS liability

WHITFIELD COUNTY, Ga. — Some residents and local governments in northwest Georgia say they oppose the passage of a bill set to go before state lawmakers this year.

If passed, the bill would shield corporations who receive forever chemicals or ‘PFAS’ from liability.

Specifically, the bill says if a company only uses forever chemicals in their products or goods, they cannot be held responsible for any damages.
