The City of Cumming will dedicate an intersection on behalf of a Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office volunteer who was killed while assisting with traffic during a Chritsmas parade in the City in December.
Officials will hold a ceremony Monday to rename the intersection of Castleberry Road and Buford Dam Road the “Sergeant Rob Muth Memorial Intersection.” Sgt. Muth was struck at the intersection by a vehicle on Dec. 13, 2025 and later died from his injuries on Dec. 14.
Mayor Troy Brumbalow will install the Memorial Intersection signs during the ceremony at 12 p.m. The public is welcome to attend. Parking will be available at the Cumming Fairgrounds’ Parking Lot #3 next to the intersection.
