The Hall County School District (HCSD) announced Friday that East Hall Middle School Principal Dr. Jamie Hitzges would be leaving the district at the end of the 2025-2026 school year.
Hitzges is reportedly leaving to pursue other professional opportunities. He has been in the district for nine years, previously as the Chicopee Woods Elementary School principal from 2017 until 2022 until he took over as principal of East Hall Middle School.
“We are grateful to Jamie Hitzges for his dedicated service to the Hall County School District,” Superintendent Will Schofield said. “Jamie has a remarkable ability to build positive, trusting relationships with students, parents, and community stakeholders, and that has been a hallmark of his leadership. He consistently casts a clear vision and keeps his team focused on continuous improvement that supports both student learning and student well-being. His impact on the schools he has led and the people he has served will be felt for years to come.”
Hitzges said he is grateful to the district, and that he will treasure the time he spent in both stints with the district…
