A 29-year-old man has been arrested in relation to a domestic incident from December of last year.
According to the Hall County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO), Jose Hipolito Ventura was arrested on Friday on felony charges of aggravated assault under the Family Violence Act (FVA) and aggravated stalking as well as a misdemeanor charge of interference with custody.
On Dec. 6 of last year, the victim report Ventura had taken one of her children. Ventura and the victim had been in a long-term relationship. They got into a verbal argument inside a vehicle that turned physical according to authorities.
Ventura allegedly stopped the vehicle, putting both of his hands on the victim’s neck. He eventually stopped at a hotel in Gainesville, allowing the victim and one child to exit before driving away with another child. Ventura reportedly had no parental rights to either child…
