ROSWELL, Ga. — The cities of Roswell and Alpharetta, along with a network of volunteers, have devised an emergency solution to provide unhoused individuals temporary shelter during the weekend winter storm.
Faced with a forecast of snow and freezing temperatures, volunteers have rallied to serve as the conduit between unhoused people and public safety officials who can help, in a region where no other emergency overnight option has been available.
