Two arrested after go-kart stolen from race track

Two people have been arrested after authorities said they stole a go-kart from a race track in the Chestnut Mountain area last week.

Hall County Sheriff’s Office Public Information Officer Derreck Booth said the investigation started last Thursday, Jan. 29, when authorities got a tip about a possible burglary at Caffeine and Octane Lanier Raceway on Winder Highway.

“(Investigators) reached out to the property owner first and worked with them to later confirm that a building on that property had been broken into,” Booth said.

The suspect in the alleged theft was identified as Silas Jamal Danielson, age 18 of Jefferson. Deputies interviewed Danielson and reportedly recovered the go-kart that had been stolen…
