A mystery needs be solved within the Lumpkin County Sheriff’s Office (LCSO) this coming weekend, and the public’s help is needed in crating a name. The name will be for its newest member of their K-9 family!
The LCSO says in social media posts that they are proud to welcome the newest member of our Sheriff’s Office K-9 family, while extending a big thank you to Briarpatch Hounds of Dawsonville, Georgia, owned by Jeff Bell and Jann Mauldin.
Sheriff Stacy Jarrard says in the social media video that the K-9 members are lining up to become partners with the new, female addition to the family, but that they want the area residents to submit name suggestions for the the bloodhound.
Sheriff Jarrard noted that Briarpatch Hounds raises exceptional AKC Bloodhounds with proven working bloodlines and puppies currently serving in law enforcement and search-and-rescue across the Southeast, including in Dawson County.
