On WDUN’s “The Martha Zoller Show” hosted by Tom Smiley, Hall County School District (HCSD) Superintendent Will Schofield called in to talk about student-led protests on campus.
This comes after we reported earlier this week that Chestatee High School was supposed to have a 10-minute demonstration on Wednesday.
That anti-Immigration and Customs Protest (ICE) protest never materialized, with Schofield revealing on the show only three students have walked out as of Thursday.
“As of yesterday I think we have had three students who walked out of class and felt strongly enough about an issue to to leave their classes,” Schofield said. “That’s three out of 28,000 and we immediately called their parents and we reminded them, you have an opportunity to go back in class and do this on your own time.”…
