ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) — A man was convicted of murdering his wife’s former fiancé outside a home in Cherokee County, prosecutors said Monday.
Nicholas Michael Mimms, 37, of Powder Springs, was found guilty Friday of felony murder in the killing of 31-year-old Eduardo Gilberto Figueroa, according to the Blue Ridge Judicial Circuit District Attorney’s Office, which covers Cherokee County.
Mimms was also convicted of aggravated assault and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony. He was acquitted of malice murder.
