The new patient tower at Northside Hospital Gwinnett in Lawrenceville has long been touted as a vital addition, but the level of need for it may, oddly enough, be illustrated by how quietly it has been opening.
Normally, a project like this would get a ribbon cutting to celebrate its completion before it goes into use. There is such a need for beds at the hospital, however, that officials had to forego the festivities and start putting some of the new tower’s space to work.
