DeKalb burglary suspect caught hiding in air vent, police say

ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) — Police said they caught a burglary suspect hiding in an air vent at a DeKalb County business.

Officers responded to a burglary in progress Monday at Atlanta Fixture and Sales, located in the Doraville area, after the owner saw the suspect on the roof on live video, according to the DeKalb County Police Department.

Officers searched the property and found signs of forced entry and tampering with the building’s HVAC system. They reportedly used a K-9 and specialized equipment to find the suspect, identified as Anthony Roach, inside an air vent.

Police said they also seized burglary tools and a firearm.

Roach was charged with burglary and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony. Police said he also had outstanding warrants in the county…
