Woman arrested after dead cats found in Oakwood apartment

A woman has been arrested on multiple animal cruelty charges after authorities said they found four dead cats inside an Oakwood apartment last month.

Jessica Marie Jenson, age 40, was arrested on Wednesday, Mar. 3, after an investigation that started on Feb. 2. A report from Hall County Animal Services said they were called to the scene at the Creekside on Mundy Mill apartments by Hall County Sheriff’s deputies.

When they arrived, they reportedly found multiple dead cats in an upstairs bedroom, and the apartment in a state of disrepair.

“There was garbage and feces on the entry way floor, kitchen floor, and living room floor,” the animal services report said. “(One) bedroom floor was just covered in garbage, clothes and boxed children toys…The other bedroom floor and bed were covered in garbage, clothes and feces.”…
