Roswell brewery struck by lightning on Georgia Beer Day

ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) — In a stroke of bad luck, a Roswell brewery was struck by lightning on Saturday — which happens to be Georgia Beer Day.

From the Earth Brewing Company said the strike hit the hood system as storms rolled through the area overnight, shutting down ventilation in the kitchen. The brewery, which also serves food, will be offering a limited menu while repairs continue.

“We all saw all the lights on the line are off, equipment’s turned off,” executive chef Chris Moseley said. “At that point it was all damage control. How are we going to cook without any exhaust or return air? It got about 125 degrees in there really rapidly.”…
