Man accused of posing as adult film star in phishing, trafficking scheme

ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) — A Buford man has been charged in federal court with a phishing scheme targeted at professional athletes as well as trafficking a woman, the U.S. attorney for the Northern District of Georgia said.

Kwamaine Jerell Ford allegedly posed as an adult film star and offered to send sexually explicit videos to the athletes. He then posed as an Apple customer service representative to obtain usernames, passwords and multi-factor authentication codes, the U.S. attorney for the Northern District of Georgia said.
