Student involved in prank linked to Georgia teacher’s death thanks his widow for forgiveness

(NEXSTAR) – Jayden Wallace, the teenager who was formerly charged with vehicular homicide in the death of Georgia teacher Jason Hughes, has thanked Hughes’ widow for her compassion in the days following the tragic accident.

Graham McKinnon, an attorney for Wallace and his family, said his clients were grateful to Laura Hughes for her “amazing compassion and spirit of forgiveness,” according to a statement McKinnon shared with Nexstar.

“The heartache suffered by the Wallace family in the aftermath of this horrible tragedy pales in comparison to the tremendous loss of Laura’s husband, Jason Hughes,” reads the statement…
