Flowery Branch to host town hall on next downtown redevelopment phase

The City of Flowery Branch will host a town hall event next month for citizens to offer input on the next phase of the city’s downtown redevelopment.

The Flowery Branch City Council voted on March 19 to approve a predevelopment agreement with an Alpharetta-based group for the project, which is currently slated to include new retail space, residential units and a parking deck.

The town hall event will be on Monday, May 4 from 6:00-7:00 p.m. at the Train Depot at the corner of Railroad Avenue and Main Street.

The project is the latest step in a downtown redevelopment project that has been underway in the city for roughly a decade. The previous phases saw the construction of a new city hall and police department headquarters, a new commercial and residential building on Main Street, a new farmers market space, an outdoor amphitheatre and streetscape work…
