The pastor of the First Baptist Church of Gainesville died Sunday morning following a long battle with cancer.
The church confirmed in a social media post that Rev. Jeremy Shoulta died at Emory University Hospital surrounded by friends and family.
Shoulta had served as a pastor at the church since April of 2020.
“Jeremy served as a faithful, caring, and creative pastor who cared deeply for this church as you all have cared deeply for him,” the church’s post said. “The Shoulta family remains grateful for the immense and generous care you have offered him and his family through his cancer journey.”…
