Overturned truck transporting chickens causes delays, driver injury Thursday morning

A tractor trailer driver transporting live chickens is injured and facing citations from an overturned vehicle wreck in Hall County that blocked a part of Browns Bridge Road throughout the morning commute on Thursday.

Georgia State Patrol (GSP) says they were called by Hall County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO) after a truck overturned along Browns Bridge Road near Fincher Drive just before 4:30 a.m. Upon arrival, the trooper determined a 2024 Western Star tractor trailer driven by 62-year-old Tommy Grizzle of Blairsville was traveling eastbound and failed to maintain his lane. The tractor trailer traveled off the south side of the roadway and overturned.

The GSP added that there were minor reported injuries for Mr. Grizzle, and he was cited for Failure to Maintain Lane. As of 9:30 a.m., the HCSO reported that all travel lanes have re-opened, while eyewitness accounts say cleanup efforts on nearby property and the road shoulder continued through the late morning hours…
