A Texas restaurant chain is bringing its New York-inspired restaurant to another part of the Houston area. Dallas’ Hudson House, touted for the “world’s coldest martini,” is eyeing an expansion to the LaCenterra at Cinco Ranch shopping center in Katy.
A permit filed Thursday to the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation reveals a new Hudson House is set to open at 2643 Commercial Center Boulevard, #B390. The space was formerly home to World of Beer. The Florida-based craft beer chain closed this location last spring, Community Impact reported, citing a “tough economic environment.” According to the permit, the project involves a tenant remodel combining two existing spaces—the former restaurant and a hair salon—into a single, 5,586-square-foot restaurant concept.
This isn’t the only new Hudson House location in the works. Nearly two weeks prior to registering the Katy location, the chain also filed a TDLR permit for a new spot at The Shops at Highland Village, located about 30 miles outside Dallas.
