The Home Depot, one of the nation’s leading home improvement retailers is pushing deeper into the Dallas market, with two new locations in the works for Celina and East Dallas, according to public filings. A company representative confirmed to What Now that both stores are slated to open in summer 2026, and are part of a broader national expansion that includes 12 new U.S. locations this year.
Founded in 1978 and headquartered in Atlanta, The Home Depot is the largest home improvement retailer in the United States, offering tools, building materials, appliances, and home services to both DIY customers and professional contractors.
The Celina store would land at 3425 S. Preston Road, at the corner of Ownsby Parkway and Preston Road, spanning roughly 137,000 square feet with a garden center. Construction could wrap as soon as late June 2026.
