Dallas leaders give update on Klyde Warren Park expansion plans

Dallas city leaders are providing an update Monday on the next phase of Klyde Warren Park’s expansion, a major project that will add green space and new amenities in the heart of the city.

The so-called Klyde Warren Park 2.0 will extend the popular deck park westward, adding approximately 1.7 acres between St. Paul and Akard streets over the Woodall Rodgers Freeway. Plans include a larger children’s playground and the park’s first indoor event space — a glass-and-steel pavilion with climate-controlled areas for receptions, community gatherings and private events.

The update comes as the city moves forward with the long-planned project, which aims to enhance one of Dallas’ most beloved public spaces.
