North Texas School Maintenance Director Arrested on Indecency With a Child Charge, Sheriff’s Office Says

Van Zandt County, Texas — A North Texas school employee has been arrested on a felony child sex crime charge after law enforcement officers executed a warrant issued out of Dallas County, according to the Van Zandt County Sheriff’s Office.

Authorities announced that Larry Plant, who serves as the Maintenance Director for Martin’s Mill Independent School District (ISD), was taken into custody on Tuesday during a coordinated operation involving local deputies and the Texas Attorney General’s Office Fugitive Apprehension Unit.

Arrest Made on Felony Warrant

According to the sheriff’s office, investigators served a felony arrest warrant for Plant without incident. Officials said he has been charged with Indecency with a Child – Sexual Contact, a charge that stems from Dallas County.

Authorities have not released additional details about the allegations, including the age of the alleged victim, when the alleged offense occurred, or whether the case has any connection to the school district…
