The largest mental healthcare provider in Dallas is weeks away from going broke, county judge says

DALLAS — The largest mental healthcare provider in Dallas County is in imminent danger of folding, and emergency meetings are underway to discuss partnering with Parkland Hospital to save it, Dallas County Judge Clay Jenkins said.

Jenkins said the county assessed that Metrocare, which said it served more than 50,000 people last year, needs $10-15 million dollars — and that the “cash pinch-point” for the provider will arrive at the end of the month.
