Specialty care navigation company Lantern is entering a new era of growth. The Dallas-based company formerly known as Employer Direct Healthcare has more than doubled its workforce in the past two years—from about 330 employees to more than 800—and recently expanded its headquarters.
The company also has offices in Vancouver and New York, but Dallas is home to its operations, care advocacy, product and engineering teams, and about half of the company’s leadership. “Dallas is our core home base,” CEO John Zutter said. “It’s the largest concentration of our employees.”
Lantern now serves about 12 million people on behalf of its more than 1,000 employer clients. Its growth is being driven by demand from companies looking for ways to cut soaring healthcare costs.
