Dallas company plans $500M data center in Castroville, expanding its San Antonio-area footprint

A Dallas-based data center company is building its sixth San Antonio-area facility.

CyrusOne plans to erect a $500 million data center in Castroville — its first in the area. Construction on the one-story, 460,000-square-foot facility at 3397 U.S. 90 West is expected to be completed by June 2027, according to a filing with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation.

CyrusOne owns at least 244 acres in Medina County, according to property records…
