Radio One is reshaping its Dallas R&B presence. The lineup from shuttered “Majic 94.5” KZMJ Gainesville has largely migrated to newly acquired “Smooth R&B 105.7” KRNB Decatur.
What We Know: The transition follows a deliberate, phased approach. Rickey Smiley moved to Hip Hop outlet KBFB on July 6. Now, the remaining KZMJ talent has landed at KRNB. Premiere Networks’ Steve Harvey Morning Show anchors the new lineup from 5-9am.
What’s at Stake: KRNB represents a significant strategic bet for Radio One in a competitive Dallas market. Queen Indy Bee retains her 9am-noon slot, while Veda Loca follows middays from 12-3pm.
