KAUFMAN COUNTY, Texas (KLTV) – On Saturday morning, a two-vehicle crash was reported on U.S. 80 that resulted in the death of one of the drivers.
According to a release from the Department of Public Safety (DPS), at approximately 4:25 a.m. DPS and Highway Patrol responded to the scene of an accident on U.S. 80 and the exit lane to FM 460. They report that the two vehicles involved in the crash were an Infiniti QX3 and a Chevrolet Silverado.
DPS said that a preliminary investigation concluded that the Infiniti was traveling east on U.S. 80 in the exit lane to FM 460 and made an unsafe left lane change. The driver of the Silverado was traveling eastbound on U.S. 80 in the right lane and was struck by the Infiniti, according to the release. The crash caused the Silverado to strike a concrete barrier and roll over, coming to rest on its roof. The Infiniti continued eastbound before also striking a concrete barrier…
