Dallas Police are asking for the public’s help finding Billy “Sonny” Wrye, an 85-year-old man last seen yesterday night in East Dallas. Wrye was last spotted around 8 p.m. in the 6000 block of Birchbrook Drive, wearing a gray shirt referencing the movie “Nightmare Before Christmas” and blue jeans. He is described as 5 feet 9 inches tall, about 150 pounds, with gray hair and blue eyes.
The department shared Wrye’s description and last-known location in a public appeal posted by the Dallas Police Dept. The case has been assigned number 127446-2026, and anyone with information is asked to call 9-1-1 or the department’s Missing Person Squad at (214) 671-4268. That unit, based at 1400 Botham Jean Blvd., says family members and guardians do not need to wait any set amount of time before reporting someone missing, per the Dallas Police Department.
