The Dallas Economic Development Corporation is getting ready to move down the street into its own digs this fall, taking 6,708 square feet at 400 S Record St. in downtown Dallas.
The city-created entity is leasing the former Belo Building, a 17-story space near Reunion Tower originally built in 1985. Extensively renovated in 2016, the building once housed Belo Corp., the former owner of the Dallas Morning News and other media properties.
Dallas EDC has been sharing office space with Downtown Dallas Inc. in The National at 1401 Elm St., about half a mile from its future office. It did not hold a direct lease at the 52-story skyscraper, which was reclaimed by its lender through foreclosure earlier this year. Dallas EDC expects to complete its move by October…
