A New York-inspired restaurant with the “world’s coldest martini” is coming to another part of Houston. State filings reveal that Hudson House is planning its newest and largest location in the Memorial area.
Hudson House hasn’t announced the new location, but a permit filed on Sept. 16 with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation indicates the Dallas-based restaurant chain will be opening in Greenside, a mixed-use development at 1085 Gessner Road.
According to the project details, renovation work for the new Hudson House is expected to begin in mid-November and be completed by April 2027. The project is estimated to cost around $2 million. At 6,095 square feet, the planned restaurant would be slightly larger than the chain’s existing locations in River Oaks and Rice Village.
The Vandelay Hospitality Group opened the first Hudson House in Dallas in 2017. The resturant has since expanded to 11 locations across Texas, most of which are in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. The restaurant takes its cues from the East Coast, serving oysters and the “world’s coldest martini.”…
