Hail, storms threaten parts of Texas. Here’s where

The first day of astronomical fall will be gloomy for some Texans. According to the National Weather Service (NWS), storms are heading toward several northern cities on Tuesday, September 22.

Forecasters with the NWS Fort Worth/Dallas office say showers are expected to hit Central Texas, the Brazos Valley and the Big Country. The weather radar shows showers developing near Cisco, Killeen and Waco.

Rain chances near Killeen and Waco range from about 20 to 30%, while towns near Palestine are sitting between 10 and 20%. Still, meteorologists are warning the systems could produce small hail, gusty winds, and frequent lightning…
