James Talarico Paused Campaigning Because He Had The Flu

Texas Democratic Senate candidate James Talarico hasn’t been on the campaign trail recently because he has the flu, he told the Hispanic Business Council via Zoom last week, noting the illness was bad enough he visited an urgent care in Dallas.

“I was starting to feel kind of under the weather a few days ago, and last night it got so bad that I went to the urgent care here in Dallas and I was diagnosed with the flu and so I’m running a fever and I’m at my most contagious right now,” Talarico told the council.

“I want to keep everybody safe and you know, if something, if I was passing on this illness to somebody and got someone’s grandmother or someone’s baby sick, I couldn’t live with myself,” he added…
