For years, the dentist, staff and patients of a Dallas dental clinic with no parking lot parked on a homeowner’s street, including across from her narrow driveway, where her car scraped bottom on a high-crowned road. By November 1999, cars parked there had been hit with eggs, a clinic employee had filed a criminal complaint against the homeowner’s tenant, and the tenant had been arrested twice in two days. The homeowner’s side later admitted the homeowner herself threw the eggs.
She bought the house in the Winnetka Heights section of Oak Cliff in November 1994, court records show. Her driveway was narrow, the curbs were high, and the crown of the road often made her Toyota Camry scrape. In June 1996 she got a no-parking zone on her own side. The curb across from her drive stayed legal parking.
In January 1999 a tenant moved in with a Nissan 300 ZX that scraped even worse. That summer she left notes on cars parked across the street. One patient she told to move refused; after his appointment, his car had been egged. Four police reports on clinic cars followed, none naming a suspect…
