TEXAS — Another fall cold front may be on the way for Texas, with major forecast models trending toward a cold and dry push of air next week. Early guidance points to the front arriving between October 27 and 29. Behind it, morning lows could fall into the upper 30s and 40s across much of the state. Even areas near the coast could see lows in the 50s.
Models Trend Toward Another Cold Push
Major forecast models have started to show another good swath of cold air moving into Texas next week. The front is expected to sweep southeast across the state, reaching all the way to the Gulf Coast and South Texas. This would be the second strong fall front in less than two weeks.

Panhandle and West Texas Coldest
The coldest air is expected across the Texas Panhandle and West Texas. Plainview is forecast to drop to about 38 degrees, while Lubbock could fall near 39. Snyder is expected around 40.
San Angelo is forecast near 42 degrees, with Brownwood around 41. These areas could see some of the chilliest mornings of the season so far. Rural spots and low-lying valleys may run even colder.
North and Central Texas in the 40s
In North Texas, Dallas is forecast to drop to about 47 degrees behind the front. Tyler is expected near 49, while Lufkin could fall to about 50. Areas closer to the Red River may run a few degrees cooler…
