A man’s body has been recovered from near the West Fork of the Trinity River in east Arlington.
An Arlington police spokesman says a visitor along the river saw a man who appeared to be dead on the other side Thursday afternoon. Arlington firefighters were called in and used a boat to take investigators from the Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s office across the river to examine the remains which have not been identified.
However, police believe it may be a man reported missing by his family earlier this week and who was last seen on Jan. 21. There were no signs of trauma so the M-E will have to decide on the cause of death and to make the formal identification.
