Jamal Crawford reacts to Jason Kidd saying Luka Doncic is on the Michael Jordan level: “I’m kind of tired of people throwing around Michael Jordan’s name”

Michael Jeffrey Jordan is considered by most to be the greatest basketball player of all time. As such, he should be treated with the utmost reverence.

But because the Chicago Bulls legend is the measuring stick of greatness in the NBA, his name always appears when people draw parallels. For three-time Sixth Man winner Jamal Crawford , Jordan’s name has been used loosely in those conversations even when the player he is being compared to isn’t on his level.

“I’m kinda tired of people throwing around Michael Jordan’s name,” said Crawford. “What are we doing? Are we talking about Michael Jordan? Jeffrey Jordan? Like, he’s the best ever. He’s too good to be compared to.”

In the atmosphere of MJ

Jamal was reacting to the recent statement of Dallas Mavericks’ head coach Jason Kidd, who said during his appearance on The Downbeat podcast that Luka Doncic is already the better player than Dirk Nowitzki .

“You can’t take this young man for granted,” Kidd said. “He’s better than Dirk. He’s in the atmosphere of MJ, the best to ever do it, LeBron, Kobe. And so, just to appreciate what this young man is doing at the age of 24 is something that Dallas has never seen. And I’ve said this internally, he is better than Dirk.”
