TikTok food critic Keith Lee recently went on a Dallas food tour.
While he did visit several restaurants, Lee couldn’t visit every place on his list.
One of those restaurants included Dallas mom-and-pop style food truck Chef Nate’s Wangz & Mo — a spot we included on our 10 black-owned restaurants to try during Black History Month.
Statesman reporter Marley Malenfant visited the food truck and got a view of what makes people gravitate toward the restaurant.

What is the Keith Lee effect?
Lee’s food reviews have boosted restaurants across the country due to his popularity on social media.
He usually visits Black-owned and family-owned restaurants and is known for turning a mom-and-pop spot into a popular spot in any city.
The former mixed martial artist has over 15 million followers on TikTok. His support is social currency to these businesses.
