The UIL finalized the final Lone Star Cup standings for the 2023-24 school year on Monday, and several area high schools ranked among the best in the state. After back-to-back years as the runner-up in Class 5A, Lovejoy parlayed a resounding athletics year into taking the classification’s top spot, with Frisco Wakeland checking in at third overall. Allen finished third in 6A, with Flower Mound not far behind in sixth, while district rivals Frisco Panther Creek and Celina checked in at Nos. 4 and 6, respectively, over in 4A.
