As summer begins to wind down and classrooms start to buzz with activity, Lewisville’s beloved Sun Valley Aquatic Center prepares for its annual shift in hours. Starting this weekend, the center will operate exclusively during the weekends, Saturdays from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. and Sundays from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m., in response to the Lewisville ISD’s schools’ session commencement on Tuesday, August 13. According to the City of Lewisville, this change is due to the predictable plunge in weekday visitors and the scarcity of lifeguards, who are predominantly students.
