Source Reveals Cowboys Injury Updates: Lamb & Diggs

FRISCO – The Dallas Cowboys launched into their Week 3 practice schedule on Wednesday with an eye on the Baltimore Ravens … and an eye on their own injury list as well.

While there might be some good news regarding the return from injury of Pro Bowl tight end Jake Ferguson, who missed Week 2’s blowout loss to the Saints due to a knee issue, two of Dallas’ biggest stars sat out the midweek workout here at The Star.

All-Pro wide receiver CeeDee Lamb (ankle) and Pro Bowl cornerback Trevon Diggs (foot) are the two names that pop off the day’s official injury report. No Lamb? No Diggs? Big problems if their issues were to linger all the way to the weekend. But …

A team source tells CowboysCountry.com that there is no serious medical concern for either standout player, and that it is anticipated that both will return to workouts on Thursday for 1-1 Dallas.

The Cowboys did get some sideline work from cornerback DaRon Bland, the 2023 NFL interceptions leader (nine) and the NFL’s single-season pick-sixes record-setter (five). He’s on short-term IR with a foot injury but worked on the cords with trainers on Wednesday.
