Marcus Spears Strongly Questions Cowboys’ Front Office

It’s every NFL owner’s goal to one day win football’s biggest game, the Super Bowl. There’s nothing compared to hoisting the Lombardi Trophy and nobody knows that better than Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones , who witnessed three championship victories after buying the franchise in 1989.

Unfortunately, Jones and the Cowboys have experienced a Super Bowl win since 1996 and the drought is only growing longer. The eccentric 81-year-old owner vowed that his team was going “all in” to end the rut this season, however, a lack of effective offseason moves has resulted in Dallas’ 1-2 start to the 2024 campaign.

With the Super Bowl looking like a long shot, Cowboys fans are (understandably) becoming more frustrated. That frustration has even spread to former players, including current ESPN analyst Marcus Spears.

“I’m not convinced that Dallas really wants to win,” Spears said on Tuesday’s edition of “Get Up.” “There is no way that you can look at the landscape of the NFL… and think that you’ve been in position with your work in free agency to put yourself over the top.”
