Dallas to Welcome Beloved Ice Creamery

A celebrated ice cream chain is preparing to deliver a scoop of New York cool to another

Lonestar State location. Van Leeuwen Ice Cream is opening a fifth DFW area storefront this year, according to the brand’s website.

The renowned ice creamery, known for its unique flavors and vegan options, will be serving guests out of an 8041 Walnut Hill Lane storefront. While a precise opening date isn’t currently available, the website states that it is “coming soon”.

Van Leeuwen scooped its first dish in New York in 2008. The concept started humbly enough as a food truck run by brothers Peter and Ben Van Leeuwen. Its commitment to superior ingredients has helped the chain spread across the country.Van Leeuwen currently has over 50 locations nationally and big plans for continued growth.

Future Dallas visitors can look forward to sating their sweet teeth with a variety of flavors, ranging from the classic to the unconventional. Guests can choose from scoops including dulce de leche brownie, lemon poppy seed muffin, and hazelnut fudge cookie.
