A woman who helped set up the robbery and murder of a Garland man has been sentenced to 40 years in prison.
18-year-old Natalie Navarro convinced Arturo Pena she was interested in dating him. So she led him to a meeting in Garland in August of 2023. It was a trap.
Police say Navarro and her real boyfriend, Jordy Martinez, murdered Pena, stole from him then fled. For a while, police thought Navarro was a victim who had been kidnapped by Martinez and they sent out an Amber Alert.
But they quickly realized Navarro was in on it. She was arrested while Martinez fled and is believed to be in Mexico.
