DALLAS, Texas — The Office of Homeless Solutions is keeping the Temporary Inclement Weather Shelter open this week due to ongoing frigid conditions. The shelter will remain operational until overnight temperatures are forecasted to rise above freezing, in accordance with Chapter 45 of the City Code.
The Temporary Inclement Weather Shelter (TIWS) sites are located at Fair Park Grand Place, 3701 Grand Ave.; Austin Street II, 2929 Hickory St.; and Fair Park Tower Building, 3809 Grand Ave., all in Dallas, Texas. Intake hours for these shelters are from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m., according to a press release from the Office of Homeless Solutions.
Austin Street Center is partnering with the city to operate these sites and provide enhanced services during the TIWS activation.
