North Texas police chase ends in deadly crash off U.S. 75

ALLEN, Texas — A man died after crashing during an attempt to flea from law enforcement, according to the Allen Police Department.

In a release, police said an officer tried to pull over a speeding car southbound on U.S. 75 at about 2:35 a.m. Tuesday. When the officer flipped on their lights, APD said the driver accelerated in an attempt to flea. According to police, the man exited 75 onto the Frontage Road and, in less than a minute, lost control of the car.

Allen Police said the man crashed into a wooded area west of the service road, and the car flipped onto its passenger side, pinned against a tree. Officers approached the car and found the man unresponsive and trapped inside…
