Texans and Oklahomans have been urged to take shelter as a tornado tears through the region, moving east from Bluff Dale in Hood County, Texas, toward Weatherford in Parker County, Texas, on Saturday evening.
The National Weather Service in Fort Worth issued a tornado watch for parts of Texas and Oklahoma until 12 a.m. CDT. Emerging social media footage shows the storm currently moving through Weatherford around 11 p.m. CDT after the weather agency issued a tornado warning for Weatherford, Mineral Wells and Azle until 11:15 p.m. CDT. Several other surrounding areas are under threat .
