Popular Tex-Mex restaurant to close both North Texas locations after two decades

DALLAS — A popular Tex-Mex restaurant is closing both of its North Texas locations after two decades later this month.

Fernando’s Mexican Cuisine says it will close both its Dallas location in the Village of Preston Hollow shopping center at 4347 W. Northwest Highway and its Richardson location in the CityLine shopping area at 1250 State Street on May 18.

“After twenty years of operations and five months of lease negotiations at our Dallas location, we were unable to reach a new lease agreement with the landlord,” Fernando’s Managing Partner, Anne Cowden, said in a statement. “With the Richardson lease also expiring soon, this is the appropriate time to close both restaurants.”…
