NexPoint will redevelop Cityplace Tower, a 42-story city skyscraper, into residential space, keep some office space, and later on, add a hotel. The Dallas Morning News reports the first phase will include the construction of The Apron, a 465-unit apartment community with ground-floor commercial space. The project will also include six eight-story buildings on more than five acres surrounding the tower.
Phase two calls for converting 27 floors of empty office space into apartment units. Of the planned 970 units, 194 will be income-restricted. Five floors will remain office and eight will become a hotel.
